Trio of Reds, Gift Box
3 great bottles of quaffable red wine from around the world. Merlot, Malbec and Shiraz
Peculiar Mr. Pat, Merlot (Australia)
The story of a most particular wombat...Orphaned, beaten up by his wild wombat mates, taken in by Ballarat Wildlife Park, wheelbarrowed around (for weight reasons), adored the world over. The wine? Well, it's bright, plush, deeply tasty Merlot from Riverland vineyards, abundant in freshly picked red fruit with a soft tannic profile and a long, moreish finish.
Benjamin Malbec (Argentina)
Benjamin means "the youngest son of the family“ and it is traditionally given to last born son of numerous families. Benjamin was released in the Argentine market when Bodega Nieto Senetiner decided to extend the family portfolio, bringing youth and freshness to the winery.
Nieto Senetiner has grown to become one of the leading stars of Mendoza.
Purple-red in colour, bright and intense. Fresh fruity aromas of plum and cherry.
Balanced in the mouth, with a pleasant finish. We recommend cheese, pasta or poultry.
El Tesoro Monastrell, Shiraz (Spain)
A red with layers of spicy fruit and damson, that massively over-delivers. Ripe, appealing aromas of plums, blackberries, and cherry and a hint of milk chocolate. Rich and spicy on the palate with dark fruit, balancing acidity and soft tannins.
Will match up with rich pasta dishes with salami or ham, or a premium, meat-rich, lasagna with layers of meatballs and slices of pepperami in the mix! Sunny weather? - perfect for barbecues too.
